Some Whipples of British Origin

A significant number of Whipples originated in England. Henry Whipple of Dickleborough, Norfolk, for example, was granted the Whipple Coat of arms in the 16th century. Many present-day Whipples descend from three Whipples who sailed from England and settled in America's Massachusetts Bay Colonies in the 1630s. A teen-aged John Whipple arrived in Dorchester in 1632. Then, in 1638, middle-aged brothers Matthew and John Whipple arrived in Ipswich Massachusetts from Bocking England
