Pasted on the inside of the back cover of this Bible is "This Bible was left to me by my mother, Mrs. Dorcas C. Mitchell who was a daughter of Vernon L. Olney and Louisa Olney, /S/ Mrs. Blanche Boswell." Mrs. Boswell died May 17. 1928, was buried May 28, 1928 at Thomas, Oklahoma beside her husband, Wm. C. Mitchell. The Bible was first "presented to Louisa Whipple by her father, Stephen Whipple, Jan.12, 1839."
