Shortly after marriage they removed to Homer NY where Rev. Alfred Bennett was a Baptist MInister of great prominence & in his later life was actively associated with the Board of Foreign Missions. He was a sponser & friend of Missionary Adoniram Judson who went to Burma & Rev. Alfred & Rhoda Bennett's son Cephas went to Burma as well to aid with printing materials for Adoniram Judsons' mission. Rev. Alfred Bennett was the First Pastor of the Homer Baptist Church, started many other churches in the Cortland Co & Tompkins Co areas with his friend Judge John Keep's help. Judge John Keep was a relative of the Grow family as well, as his wife Frances Goodell was the daughter of Edward Goodell, cousin of Experience Goodell.
