His parents moved to New Ipswich, N.H., Windsor, Vt., Lunenburg, Mass., and Fryeburg, Maine. They returned with him to Groton, Mass., where he received a good education. In 1814 his family moved to Pillar Point in Brownville, Jefferson Co., N.Y. Here Jesse became a prosperous farmer and local lawyer. He resided there 65 years, dying there 4 Jul 1878 (87 years of age)." --D.
