Keturah "is not with Richard Wippell in 1871, but may have been in a workhouse or with other relatives. In the 1891 census she is Keturah H. Wippell, 27, born Bristol, a draper's assistant at 278 Pentonville Rd, Islington. RG 12 / 153 Islington south west district 19."
!SOURCE: Email from Jill Trethewey (email hidden) to the Whipple One-Name Study, 20 Dec 2024. "In 1871, Keturah was recorded as Keturah WEPPELL born in Putney, Surrey, living with her Halcomb grandparents in Speen, Berkshire. The incorrect place of birth may have been a simple error, but it may also have been family wanting to protect Keturah from the Poor Law authorities who would send her back to Bristol rather than care for her in Berkshire if anything happened to her grandfather. In 1911, Keturah was 49, a draper's assistant, living alone in Pentonville Rd, Clerkenwell, London. I haven't found her after that."
