PARENTAGE of Sarah Margaret- Sarah Margaret Whipple's obituary states, in part: Mrs. Whipple was born Sept. 5, 1930 in Ripley, Mo., the daughter of James H. and Hilda Gayle Whipple... She is survived...by two brothers, Marion Knotts.., James Knotts..; two sisters, Claudell Warren.., and Mary Lee Griffith..."
- PROBLEM: I have been unable to identify a James H. and Hilda Gayle Whipple.
- POSSIBLE SOLUTION: The obituary is in error, and gave her parents' last name as "Whipple," which is her married name, rather than Knotts, which I believe was her maiden name.
