  !SOURCE: Email from N. Combs to Weldon Whipple, 23 Feb 2019. In 1850 Samuel W. Whipple {137446} was living in Norwich, New London, CT in the household of Calvin G. and Elizabeth B. Rawson. On 4 Dec 1837 in Thompson, Windham, CT Calvin G. Rawson mar. Elizabeth Brown Whipple (src: Thompson Vital Records, 1:110m). Ergo, without further "proof," I propose that Samuel and Elizabeth are siblings. Elizabeth B. Whipple Rawson appears on later census records as Bessie B. Rawson and Betsey Rawson. The photograph of her gravestone on the WGW [?] gives her dates as 5 Aug. 1822-6 May 1893, but census records give her age as: 38 in 1850, 46 in 1870 and 62 in 1880.
