Online I found a copy of a Massachusetts death certificate for Orin B. Whipple {23782} with the following information: b. Jan. 26, 1851 in Chateaugay, Franklin, NY; d. Feb. 6, 1913 in Millbury, Worcester, MA; parents George Whipple {23774} b. NY and Anna E. Bramley {23786} b. NY; informant Mary F. Moore {23801}. Orin's birth date as given in the death certificate is the same as for Orin Benjamin Bromley Whipple {Note the middle name of Benjamin Bromley, Ann/Anna's father's name}, while the date of death on the certificate differs from that in the WGW. From this info I would agree with your other researchers that these two men, their spouses, as well as children are the same and should be merged.
