This info is wrong. I found his parents and birth date, but now am just as stuck with them! I can’t connect them to any of the many nearby Whipple families. The new info is: Joseph Marks Whipple, born August 24, 1752 in Greenwich, Hampshire Co. MA . Parents: Jonathan and Anne Whipple. At two years of age he was adopted by John and Mary (Wheeler, Kidder) Marks of Greenwich, Hampshire Co., MA (Source: Vital Records of Hardwick, Massachusetts to the Year 1850 (Boston, NEHGS, 1917) p74.
