She writes: "I have Obed as the son of John Whipple and Huldah Andrews. Huldah was the daughter of Obed Andrews and was born in Scipio Cayuga County NY. According to the children Huldah had with John Whipple, he would appear to be the same as your John Randolph Whipple son of John Whipple and Rachel Marshall. In addition to the six children you have listed, John and Huldah also had a Tryphena b abt 1826. In 1830 John Whipple has one male and one female child under 5 which matches the ages of Obed and Tryphena. In the 1840 census John was betw 40-49 which would match correct age and he has 8 children whose ages match. The son of Huldah and Ahas Ferris Close, Franklin Ferris Close, is the same as your Franklin Ferris Close who married Lydia A. Whipple. Franklin Ferris Close died 4.21.1887 and is bur Dry Creek Cem in Moravia Cayuga NY same cemetery as Huldah's son William Whipple. Lydia A. (Whipple) Close is bur Indian Mount Cem in Moravia."
