!SOURCE: Email from Beverly H (email hidden) to Weldon Whipple, 29 May 2020.Harvey went first to California where he served 3 yrs (1861-1863) in the 3rd Reg, CA Infantry. At the end of the war he went to Minnetonka Minnesota for a few years and then in 1867 he moved to Osakis, Douglas, Minnesota.
In 1870 at age 48 he married a Mrs. Adams of Osaksis; they had no children.
In the 1875 State Census in Osakis he was 43, born Rhode Island of Canadian ethnicity and he had a wife named Emma born in Norway, age 53. Residing with them was a child Anna Nelson, age 8, born in Minnesota. Anna's parents had been born in Minnisota so apparently not a child of Emma.
Death record indicates Harvey died March 27, 1895 at age 63 of fatty degeneration of the heart and had been born in Rhode island. He died in Osakis and was buried there. Cemetery stone in Lakeside Cemetery, Osakis, indicates he was born Feb 9, 1832, however this may have been in error
