Mrs. Lucy Gerauld Lass of North Broad died last night May 10, 1921 aged 75 years. Born Apr 11, 1846 on a farm south of Galesburg. The daughter of Harvey Gerauld & Maria Hudson who were among the original settlers of Knox county and of Galesburg. Attended public schools of Galesburgh and Knox Academy. She taught the Thirwell school south of the city. Following the teaching became associated with Mrs Young in the millinery business the city. Married May 6, 1886 Eb Lass. One child is an adopted daughter, Mrs D. Gerauld Gardner of Wash. D. C., and the following children, Mrs F.H. Sisson of New York City, Charles F of Galesburg, N.P. Lass of Juneau, Alaska, Edith Lass of Galesburgh, three grandchildren. She had four sisters and a brother, but only two survive, Mrs Nellie Kellmer, Chicago, Mrs Hattie Van Riper, of Los Angeles, Cal. Member of Central Congregational church and the funeral be held from the church tomorrow afternoon, Rev C. E. Mckinley in charge. Interment in Hope Cemetary.The four children listed above are children of Ed Lass and his first wife Emma Pittock.
