Norma writes: "Despite the discrepancies on the census records as to where Leonard Whipple {50556} and his wife Alice A. {50566} were born, I'd like to make them the parents of Maude A. Whipple {72022} as everything else fits. There is a notation on John J. Whipple's {33913} page that he was one of the original settlers of Ayer's Cliff, Canada; and two of Leonard's siblings were noted as having been born in Canada. Leonard says on the 1880 and 1910 censuses that he was born in Canada; the 1900 census states that he was born in VT.
